♥️ Last year, thanks to the generosity of Sidewalk Angels Foundation, I was able to treat sweet Maya for her lymphoma. Her dad is one of the sweetest clients I’ve ever met, and I just knew I had to help him and Maya get the chemotherapy protocol treatment she needed
♥️ I’m so thankful for the support of #mari and Rob Thomas and their foundation. Also a shout out to The Brodie Fund for helping make her treatment possible. Sweet Maya brought so much joy to all she met, especially her dad.
♥️ SWA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing critically needed funds & support to no-kill animal shelters & rescues, that help fight for the rights of those with no voice.
♥️ SWA Foundation wasn’t on Instagram when we treated Maya but I still think about her often. She was just one of those really special pups.
♥️So please help me welcome #sidewalkangels to #instagram with a follow and comment below to thank them for all they do to help animals that have been abandoned and abused to those who are destitute, homeless, or cannot afford proper medial care.
♥️ The work they do is so important and I am so thankful for ALL they do. ... See MoreSee Less

🤓Why is Yam in chemo safety goggles?
🧤I take chemo safety very seriously. The team wears what is called PPE - personal protective equipment- during chemo prep and administration. This includes special gloves, gowns, eyewear.
⚠️ We also use a closed system and mix chemo under a special biosafety hood to minimize our exposure to this toxic stuff. Because while we want to kill cancer cells in our patients, we must protect the people who administer it.
🏠 Plus they are precautions pet owners should take at home. Check out vlog 66 on my YouTube channel and I have a home safety with chemo sheet on my website in the pet owner resource section.
😻 So why is Yam in protective eyewear? Because he’s just adorable!
💩 Quick GI lymphoma update. I’ve been treating him for 2 weeks with a weekly CHOP chemotherapy protocol. He continues to gain weight and for 6 straight days he’s diarrhea-free. Woohoo!! #caturday
