October is breast cancer awareness month, and cats sadly get breast cancer too.

DYK that mammary tumors are the third most common tumors in female cats Mammary cancer in cats is similar to breast cancer in women in that early detection is important.

Dogs and cats are similar in that 50% have multiple masses But mammary cancer in cats is also different than dogs – it has a higher rate of malignancy rate and higher metastatic rate.

But it is also treatable. Be sure to watch to hear what the biggest surgical mistake often made with cats.

What is the secret to work/life balance? I do not think there is a secret but we need to find time for ourselves, our friends and family. And we must avoid burnout. I recently spoke at the Fetch Conference in Kansas City where I did the Keynote presentation with my good friend and colleague Dr Mary Gardner called “Work Life Imbalance.” So I want to share 6 tips and hacks that I do to improve my work/life balance.
